Owners are entitled to charge tenant for the water consumption portion of all water bills during the term of your tenancy, this includes pro-rata water up to the end date of your tenancy. Should an owner wish to claim this portion back from the tenants their bill is forwarded through to Merlot to process and invoice. Tenants are issued with an invoice for payment due within 1 month and 2 day along with a copy of the water bill to show workings out. This invoice is to be paid through as a separate payment using the same reference code allocated at the beginning of your tenancy for rent payments.
